From 1979-2010 Margaret Barnaby made jewelry inspired by marine life, insects and plants.

Margaret makes one of a kind jewelry. Each piece is fabricated from many repousse elements in green, pink, and palladium white gold and unusual stones, many with natural textures. Repousse and chasing are ancient hammered surface decoration techniques in which the metal is worked with small chisel-like tools while supported in pitch. The metal may be turned many times; stretched and textured to achieve the desired results. Low relief and delicate pattern are typical of this process. Margaret’s jewelry is sculptural, sensual and easy to wear.
